Ballyeamon art weekends

Dates now confirmed for 2026

Join me at the barn from 10th to 14th September for a fantastic creative weekend!

£430 residential or £330 non residential (includes lunch and dinner)

£70 deposit to Katherine to secure your place, please pay below or email ksoutarillustrator@gmail.com for details

Included:

Full board and bunkhouse accommodation at the barn. (All meals, tea, coffee, snacks)

(you can also arrange your own accommodation if you wish and pay the non residential fee)

16+ hours of art workshop tuition with all materials supplied and guidance needed with Katherine, creating mixed media and print work that reflects your experience of this beautiful place, or your personal response to the media we use.

There are only 4 places on this art holiday in order to enable me to give everyone plenty of space, and the best advice and tuition I can offer.

You will be staying in the Antrim coast and glens area of outstanding natural beauty just a mile away from the wonderful Glenariff forest park.

In the afternoons you are free to explore the local landscape, continue with your artwork or just chill out around the barn red squirrel spotting…

Depending on what people’s interests are, transport can be arranged to visit the coast and local towns.

There is also a traditional storytellling and song session at the barn on Saturday evenings led by the incomparable Liz Weir, our host at the barn and one of Irelands finest storytellers

What previous art weekenders have to say…

‘Thank you for the most fantastic long weekend. A truly stunning location, wonderful company, brilliantly fun art projects, materials and tuition (no matter what level you’re at) and such an utterly relaxing experience from start to finish. Not to mention the hospitality of our amazing hosts, beautiful home-cooked food and cakes baked fresh every day.

I’ll be booking again next year!’

Ballyeamon art holiday 2024

‘Ballyeamon art weekend was absolutely awesome! Not only was the venue oozing creativity – but Katherine was indeed amazing in her teaching. We all got so many new ideas and inspiration combined with clear guidance in the new techniques. The atmosphere was encouraging, supporting and accepting. I can honestly recommend Katherine’s workshops – and on top of all other things – it was also great fun!
